In early September 1938 Prime Ministers of Britain and France met with Hitler \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand reached an agreement that Czechoslovakia cede the Sudetenland to Germany thus avoiding \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewar.
