Herpa Wings presents a Polish Air Force Yakovlev Yak-40 in 1:200 scale as item 574235, serial 044. Poland received the first of 19 Yak-40s in 1973, using them mainly as VIP and government transports. Most were fitted with a 13-seat salon interior instead of the usual 32 airline seats. In the 1990s the fleet of the 36th Special Air Transport Regiment at Warsaw-Okecie adopted this red and white government livery. Aircraft 044 retired in 2011 and is now displayed at the Museum of Polish Military Technology in Warsaw.
