Executive Series Models EXB3572N 1:72 NASA SR-71 Blackbird

After its Air Force career ended, the SR-71 Blackbird found a second life at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, where two aircraft flew high-speed, high-altitude research missions through the late 1990s. This Executive Series model shows the Blackbird in NASA markings at 1:72 scale. It is cast from pressurized resin, finished in fine detail, and comes with a display base in a gift box.

Lockheed's Skunk Works designed the SR-71 in the 1960s to fly faster than Mach 3 at altitudes above 80,000 feet. Its titanium airframe and blended chines still look futuristic today, and at 1:72 the model shows that shape off well on a desk or shelf. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
