Herpa Wings presents the SAS Scandinavian Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 in 1:500 scale as item 539715, registered SE-DFD "Dag Viking". SAS was founded on August 1, 1946, and this release marks 80 years of connecting Scandinavia with the world. In the early 1970s SAS worked with McDonnell Douglas, Swissair and KLM to develop the long-range DC-10-30. The trijet served as the backbone of the SAS long-haul fleet until 1991. Herpa is releasing it as a limited edition for the anniversary.
