They were stationed at NAS Lemoore, California and in April 1981 they were the first USN squadron to be equipped with the F/A-18 Hornet. On October 1, 2010 VFA-125 was disestablished with all assets going to VFA-122 “Flying Eagles”. VFA-125 will be reestablished in the future as an F-35 training squadron.
